WoTseries.com has uncovered evidence of another director for season 2 of Amazon’s The Wheel of Time. According to her LinkedIn and the resume of another crew member, American Director Maja Vrvilo will direct episodes for the show’s 2nd season, which is currently in production.
Vrvilo started out her career in Croatia as an editor in the 1990’s. She moved to the United States a few years later and eventually made the transition to director in 2015. She has quite an impressive resume, working on shows such as Hawaii Five-O, S.W.A.T, Preacher, and several Star Trek titles.
Vrvilo is the third director attached to season 2. Thomas Napper and Sana Hamri have also been confirmed for the show. With Hamri directing half of season 2 according to a Deadline story, this suggests Vrvilo and Napper will direct two episodes each, assuming the 2nd season will also have 8 episodes.
We previously reported that director David Lowery might have been involved in season 2 of The Wheel of Time, but we now believe that Lowery’s name being attached to the show was likely an error on the part of our original source.
I'm just a farm kid that grew up loving fantasy and science fiction. The Wheel of Time is my favorite book series. I love watching sports, reading, playing video games, and learning about the film making industry.
