(Note: A previous version of this article contained speculation that actor Isaiah Hodges was part of season two. We’ve received information since then that suggests he is not a cast member, so we have retracted that part of the article. We apologize for our error!)

With the release of episode eight on Christmas Eve, season one of The Wheel of Time has finally reached its conclusion, but don’t be too sad because we have some small news for season two for you today! First, we have two cast members, including one with a known role, and then we have some speculation on a couple of other potential cast members for season two.

We do want to issue a possible spoiler warning as we will be discussing potential characters and plotlines that may show up in season two!

Cast Member: Melissa James

Melissa James is an experienced actor from the United Kingdom with numerous roles in theatre and on television. She has been cast as the role of “Elnore Snr” for season two. Elnore is the name of Nynaeve’s mother in the books, possibly hinting that we may see a flashback in season two of Nynaeve’s parents.

Most recently, James made her Royal Shakespeare Company debut in the role of Gloria Matienne in the musical adaptation of The Magician’s Elephant, which is currently running in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre until January 1, 2022. The musical began rehearsals the week of August 23, 2021. Prior to that, James spent about 2 months filming the upcoming Netflix Series “Hard Cell.”

Cast Member: Jessica Boone

Jessica Boone is a classically trained actor and voice actor from America who is currently based out of Prague, Czechia. She is the co-director of the Prague Shakespeare Company alongside her husband and fellow Wheel of Time actor, Guy Roberts. In addition to her numerous theatre roles and voice acting work in anime, she also has had roles in television and movies, including recent roles in Das Boot and The Defeated. She recently wrapped work on television series Dangerous Liaisons and movie Chevalier, both filmed in the Czech Republic.

As previously reported by our friend Jon on his YouTube channel WoT Up!, in a quickly deleted Instagram post, Boone was stated to be in season one of The Wheel of Time upon release. However, now that the first season has come and gone and we have yet to see her on screen, it seems likely that she will be in season two. Her specific character is unknown, however, she was seen with the side of her head shaved in August of 2021.

Speculation: Karima McAdams

Karima McAdams is a London-born actor and model of Moroccan, Irish, and Greek ancestry. She spent a number of her childhood years in Tangier, Morocco before moving back to London with her family. In 2006, she was the official model to represent iconic video game character Lara Croft. Recently, she’s had a number of roles in television series, including Deep State and Vikings.

On August 23rd, 2021, McAdams was abroad from London in order to start shooting on a secretive new series. Not much information beyond this is known; however, she is the same height as the body double used to stand in for a character we are quite certain is Selene (see tweet below for more information). Additionally, Sara spotted that McAdams is followed on social media by Ishamael actor, Fares Fares.

Returning Cast for Season Two: Fares Fares

Finally, we want to note a cast member that were revealed to us in season one, episode eight that will very likely be returning to season two of The Wheel of Time.

Fares Fares, as mentioned earlier, was revealed to be Ishamael all along in the season finale. He is a Swedish-Lebanese actor who made his acting debut in 2000 in the movie Jalla! Jalla! Since then, he’s appeared in numerous movies and television series, including Zero Dark Thirty (with Lews Therin Telamon actor, Alexander Karim), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Westworld, and Chernobyl.

He was in Prague in mid-August of 2021.
