After months of preparation, filming for the third season of The Wheel of Time began yesterday, April 17, 2023. While nothing has been announced yet from the show’s official social media accounts, multiple sources stated that Monday was the first filming day for season 3.

Filming is currently underway in Prague and is schedule to continue there through late October 2023. It is currently unknown what other countries the series will film in, if any. In addition to the Czech Republic, the first season filmed in Slovenia, Croatia, and Spain, and the second season filmed in Italy and Morocco.

Cast members already spotted in Prague include: Josha Stradowski (Rand al’Thor), Marcus Rutherford (Perrin Aybara), Dónal Finn (Mat Cauthon), Zoë Robins (Nynaeve al’Meara), Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere), Kae Alexander (Min Farshaw), Hammed Animashaun (Loial), Ayoola Smart (Aviendha), Ceara Coveney (Elayne Trakand), Priyanka Bose (Alanna Mosvani), Jennifer Cheon Garcia (Leane Sharif), Taylor Napier (Maksim), Meera Syal (unknown series regular role).

Other cast members we anticipate will return from previous seasons but have not yet been spotted in Prague include: Rosamund Pike (Moiraine Damodred), Daniel Henney (Lan Mandragoran), Lolita Chakrabarti (Marin al’Vere), Johann Myers (Padan Fain), Abdul Salis (Eamon Valda), Alexandre Willaume (Thom Merrilin), Kate Fleetwood (Liandrin Guirale),  Sophie Okonedo (Siuan Sanche), Natasha O’Keeffe (unknown series regular role), Jay Duffy (unknown role), and Ragga Ragnars (unknown role). This is not an exhaustive list. Previous information hints strongly that season 3 will be returning to the Two Rivers, so we look forward to seeing more familiar faces from the first episode of the series.
