Prior to the big announcement of 4 confirmed cast members at JordanCon, showrunner Rafe Judkins brought back Wheel of Time Wednesday (#WoTWednesday) to Twitter with a cheeky video teasing Meera Syal‘s mystery role. While Rafe was careful to only clearly reveal the headshots of 15 cast members, with the help of our discord members, we were able to do some detective work to quickly guess 9 more of the partially revealed headshots. These include confirmed actors Ceara Coveney, Natasha O’KeefeJay Duffy, Ayoola Smart, Sophie Okonedo, Juliet Howland, Abdul Salis, and Alexandre Willaume, as well as unconfirmed actor Laia Costa (whom we previously reported was a part of season 2).

The headshots seen from Rafe's video: Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoe Robins, Madeleine Madden, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Donal Finn, Johann Myers, Kate Fleetwood, Priyanka Bose, Taylor Napier, Kae Alexander, and Meer Syal. Filled in based off of incomplete headshots: Ceara Coveney, Natasha O'Keeffe, Jay Duffy, Ayoola Smart, Laia Costa, Sophie Okonedo, Juliet Howland, Abdul Salis, Alexandre Willaume, a blank space, and Anthony Kaye.

Thanks to a member of our discord, another of the partially revealed headshots was identified as that of actor Anthony Kaye. Kaye is a model, dancer, and actor who has previously appeared in Good Omens, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and Carnival Row. While Kaye has no social media of his own, he was spotted in a recent photo with other Wheel of Time cast members, Priyanka Bose, Jennifer Cheon Garcia, Kate Fleetwood, Ragga Ragnars, and Maja Simonsen.

He is part of the season 3 cast that began filming in Prague in April, but it’s currently unknown if he will also appear in season 2.

Season Two Cast Updates

Speaking of season 2, some additions and updates have been made recently. We now know that Laura Crowhurst (pictured above left) will be playing the role of “Stablemaster.” This is the second stablemaster character in season 2 (after Stewart Kenneth Moore).

Additionally, Nasser Memarzia (pictured above middle) will be playing the role of “Errol” and Jacqueline Moré (pictured above right) will be in the role of “Burned Woman.” Their characters are currently attached to episodes 2 and 4 of season 2, respectively, however, this may not accurately reflect the final product.

A release date for season 2 has not yet been announced, but according to a press release, it is anticipated to release later this year. The first season of The Wheel of Time will be available to watch on Freevee, giving those without Prime Video the opportunity to watch the show prior to the release of season 2.
