If you’ve followed our coverage of The Wheel of Time news, you might recall that actor Jessica Boone was previously reported to be part of the cast for the Prime Video adaptation as early as November 2021. We got our first glimpse of her in costume in the season 2 first look images released in May, but today, her role was finally confirmed by her agency.
Boone will be playing the role of Alwhin in season 2 of The Wheel of Time. Alwhin is a Seanchan, the people we see taking over the Western shore with a massive wave of water in the final moments of season 1. In the books, Alwhin was a sul’dam who came to Falme in book 2, however, it appears that her role in the show may be that of a Voice, a slave who speaks for a member of nobility, in this case the Lady Suroth (whom we suspect is played by actor Karima McAdams).
Boone is an actor, voice actor, and a producer and associate artist for the Prague Shakespeare Company. Originally from Texas, she currently lives in Prague with husband Guy Roberts (Uno Nomesta in The Wheel of Time). Recent credits include A Small Light, Chevalier, and Last Light.
