Lover of fantasy and other geeky goodness.
So excited to see Alexander Karim back for episode 8! Since episode 1.08 I’ve been hoping they would continue making the season finale cold open an AOL scene, roughly tied to the season’s theme, and ending with the 8.08 cold open being the book one prologue.
No Gawyn!! I hope he isn’t being merged with Galad. I know there were leaked scripts, but it seems he’s not going to appear in this season at all which makes me angry. How are they planning to create his romance with Egwene, when she’ll most likely be heading to the waste next season. I can understand Galad being left for later on, but Gawyn needs to be in the white tower, to meet with Egwene. Instead of the whole drama with Egwene and the accepted test gone wrong, they would have had ample amount of time to introduce Gawyn, Min and Mat could still have escaped together.
Egwene and Gawyn meeting in Cairhien after the Waste (like in Lord of Chaos), is fine. They spend a lot of time with each other there in the books and I think you can do without any meeting beforehand.
