WotSeries has learned that actor Olivia Williams has joined season 3 of The Wheel of Time. According to multiple sources, Williams was spotted on the Caemlyn/Andor set alongside Shohreh Aghdashloo during filming that took place back in May of this year. Per our sources, Olivia Williams plays the role of the “Queen”. While we couldn’t confirm with absolute certainty that she will be portraying Queen Morgase Trakand, it is highly likely that she will assume this character.
Olivia Williams is an award-winning British actor with a career spanning over three decades, boasting nearly 80 credits in both film and television. She is known for classics such as “The Sixth Sense” and “Rushmore“. Williams most recently appeared in the popular Netflix historical drama, “The Crown” as Camilla Parker Bowles. She is set to play Tula Harkonnen in “Dune: Prophecy“, which is scheduled to premiere on Max in late 2024.
There have been no casting announcements or confirmations about characters connected with the royal court in Caemlyn. We do know that Callum Kerr is likely to play Galad, as his CV revealed before the credit was edited out. Shohreh Aghdashloo will portray Elaida, as reported by Wheel of Time news channel, WotUp. Gawyn remains a mystery, although we do suspect that he will be portrayed by Luke Fetherston.
