We have discovered that Olivia Popica is set to appear in the next season of Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time. According to her CV, she has been cast as Jeaine. Popica is a Romanian actor who trained at the National Youth Theatre in London, UK and the Identity School of Acting. She has most recently appeared in television series Liaison and The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The exact time period when she filmed for season 3 is unknown, but she was in Prague during June of 2023.

(Warning! Potential spoilers for season 3 follow!)

Jeaine is an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, who is revealed to actually be a member of the Black Ajah. In the books, she is one of the Aes Sedai who left the Tower with Liandrin (Kate Fleetwood), first heading to Tear in The Dragon Reborn, and then to Tanchico in The Shadow Rising. Tanchico is a confirmed location for season 3, so it seems very likely that season 3 will have Jeaine in that city.

Last month, we reported on an audition script that we believed to be for the character of Jeaine. While we still may be incorrect in guessing which character the audition belongs to, we do have evidence now that Jeaine will be included in the show. She joins known characters Ispan (Olumide Olorunfemi) and Joiya (Joelle) from season 2 as Aes Sedai who were part of Liandrin’s group of Black Ajah in the books. We shall have to wait for the next season to see if all characters maintain the same loyalties in the adaptation.
