While fans continue to wait for official casting announcements for the next season of The Wheel of Time, we have another actor who will be appearing in season 3: Ann Ogbomo. Wotseries estimates that more than 100 new cast members will be joining season 3.

Ogbomo on Screen and Stage

British actor Ann Ogbomo is most well known for her work in the DC Comics universe, in the role of Phillipus in the “Justice League” and “Wonder Woman” movies. Fans may also know her from her roles on TV in two episodes of “The Sandman” and as series regular, Jayna-Zod in Syfy’s series “Krypton“.

Ogbomo also has extensive theater experience and trained at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in theater arts, and earned her MA in community arts from Goldsmiths’ College. Ogbomo also holds a postgraduate award in teaching Shakespeare from the University of Warwick.

On the left, she appears as Philippus in ‘Justice League,’ wearing a metallic helmet and wielding a spear with a fierce expression. On the right, she is shown in ‘Wonder Woman,’ without the helmet, but still in Amazon armor, with a determined look as she speaks during a scene

Ogbomo also lent her voice to the documentary “Untold Stories: Hair on Set.” In the 2023 film, Black actors in the UK share the “untold story of Afro hair on film sets.” In an post from September 2023, Ogbomo shares a trailer of the documentary and states,

“Much needed documentary from @folaevansakingbola and her collaborators @jordanpittofficial @lee_mi_daley @andymsee @gwentertainment with contributions from actors and crew who have spoken out on what I know affects so many people in the industry both in front and behind the camera. Mass change is required.”

You can catch Ogbomo in the upcoming short horror film “Please, (Don’t) Leave Me” out in 2025 and the movie “Surviving Earth” based on a true story of a Serbian musician who arrives in the UK after fleeting the Yugoslav wars in the 1990s. Ogbomo is also a registered mediator. She offers her mediation services in the entertainment industry, specializing in dispute resolution, non-violent communication and more. She names two guilty pleasures in an interview with Pride magazine: crocheting and knitting. Ogbomo also gardens; we wonder if she grows beans alongside her kale, courgettes, and potatoes.

Ogbomo in Season 3

Ogbomo is tall, at 5’10” and we have reason to believe that she filmed for season 3 in South Africa. We believe that filming in South Africa included scenes with the Aiel, the Age of Legends, and scenes in Tanchico. With this in mind, we wonder if maybe she has been cast in the role of an Aiel Maiden of the Spear, an ancient Aes Sedai seen in a flashback, or a new character we meet in Tanchico. No matter the role, we are excited to see Ogbomo bring another Wheel of Time character to life in season 3.

Season 3 of The Wheel of Time will air sometime in 2025.
