What We Know About The Wheel of Time Season 3 New Cast

On December 18, 2024, fans learned the official casting of Olivia Williams as Queen Morgase Trakand, Luke Fetherston as Lord Gawyn of House Trakand, Callum Kerr as Lord Galad of House Trakand, and Nuno Lopes as Lord Gaebril, the “queen’s consort”.

On December 11, 2024, Prime Video announced Shohreh Aghdashloo as Elaida for Season 3 of The Wheel of Time.

And on January 15, 2024, five new cast members were revealed: Isabella Bucceri as Faile, Nukâka Coster-Waldau as Bair, Salóme Gunnarsdóttir as Melaine, Björn Landberg as Rhuarc, and Synnøve Macody Lund as Melindhra.

WotSeries cast announcements

On December 20, we here at WotSeries had a little fun dropping new cast details on Bluesky and Twitter.

• Sara dropped news that Lea Kron will play the role of Messenger, in the episode Goldeneyes.
• Omar posted about Lini, portrayed by Zuzana Hodkova.
• Lane shared info on a small speaking role for a character named Ginni, played by Salla Tervonen.
• Eri shared Jonathon Ojinnaka’s role of “The Handsome Harbourmaster”, leaving us with questions about other harbourmasters and how their roles might be listed.
• And I shared that we have a Child Byar/The Questioner, portrayed by Guy Moody.

As we wait for more official cast announcements leading up to the premiere of season 3 on March 13th, 2025, here’s a comprehensive list of all new cast members—announced and otherwise—who have been reported on to date.

The White Tower & Andor

We know from articles and posts about CCXP 2024 that we will immediately start the season with explosive scenes in Tar Valon: A confrontation between Liandrin and he White Tower sparks an all out magical brawl in the White Tower.

We have grouped these two lists together because we expect multiple characters from Andor to end up in the White Tower: Galad (evident from the teaser), Gawyn (maybe), and Elaida (of course). A close watcher might see another Andoran, a guard maybe, in the teaser (look to the left at the 47 second mark).

Here are the new cast members we expect to see in the Tower, the Caemlyn throne room, or both.

The Aiel Waste and the Age of Legends

We believe much of Season 3 will follow Rand and his adventures in the Aiel Waste. Since New York Comic Con in 2023, we’ve known that Rhuidean would be one of the locations visited. Based on the teaser, Al’Cair Dal (or its equivalent) appears to be a pivotal location, and wrap posts from cast members suggest that Cold Rocks Hold will also serve as another important landmark in the Aiel Waste.

In addition to some otherworldly—or “othertimely”—trips in the Aiel Waste, we also believe the season will feature scenes from the Age of Legends and other points in history, introducing many new faces (and likely some striking fashions!).

The Two Rivers

Perrin’s storyline is leading us home to the Two Rivers, alongside new friends and enemies. While we are not sure on the places he may visit along the way, we are hopeful to meet these new cast members in and around the Two Rivers.

Tanchico

We expect to see Min, Mat, Thom, Elayne, and Nynaeve in Tanchico. The quick shot of Liandrin in a veil and the staring contest later in the teaser have us excited to see more from Moghedien and Liandrin, and her Black Ajah coterie, in the city as well.
