On February 22, 2025, The Wheel of Time show held an exclusive fan screening event hosted by The Dusty Wheel in London. The event was attended by fans who were lucky to grab a ticket through a first-come, first-serve RSVP online sign-up process, where all available tickets were snagged in the first 30 or so seconds. The main attraction was a screening of episode 1 of Season 3, followed by a Q&A with Rosamund Pike and showrunner Rafe Judkins, moderated by everyone’s favorite innkeeper, The Innkeeper.

Fans flew in from all over Europe, with quite a few others flying from as far as Canada and the United States (including WotSeries staff). The itinerary for the main event included a live welcome message from Rosamund, Rafe and Innkeeper Hatch, followed by episode 1 of Season 3, and then finally the Q&A. The announcement listed Rosamund Pike and Rafe Judkins as the primary participants for the post-episode interview, but the crowed was treated to a surprise of two additions to the interview line-up from the Season 3 cast: Marcus Rutherford and Ceara Coveney.

Surprise Guests

Between entry and the start of the show, many fans had the opportunity to mingle with what turned out to be a surprisingly large number of cast and crew members. Among the cast spotted at the event were Ayoola Smart, Kate Fleetwood, Ceara Coveney, Kae Alexander, Luke Fetherston, Maja Simonsen, Meera Syal, Marcus Rutherford, Hammed Animashaun, Taylor Napier, Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, and Rosamund Pike.

From the crew, Justine Juel Gillmer, Rammy Park, Rafe Judkins, Dave Hill, Marigo Kehoe, Sarah Nakamura, and Mike Weber were also in attendance.

A Message from Rosamund Pike

A few hours before the event, Rosamund Pike posted a breathtaking new poster of Moiraine, along with a heartfelt message. We won’t speculate what the message might mean. Sometimes it’s good to celebrate messages such as this and accept the gift of expressed appreciation. To the excitement of those in attendance, Rosamund Pike also announced that all attendees will receive a signed print of this poster.

About Episode One of Season 3

We wish we could share details about the screened episode, however, the event organizers asked the audience to refrain from revealing information or publishing reviews until the episodes has aired.

It is worth noting that Prime Video has officially released the first 11 minutes of episode 1 from Season 3 (or what’s now widely referred to as “the shredding scene“). Additionally, fans won’t really have to wait until March 13 to watch the first episode, as Prime Video announced an online global fan event on March 8 to watch the first episode. Fans can RSVP on the The Wheel of Time Prime Video page.

The Q&A Session

Similar to the episode itself, we were also asked not to discuss the questions and answers publicly, indicating that the show may incorporate this session into upcoming promotional materials leading up to its release.

What we can share, however, is the immense sense of pride, joy and satisfaction in seeing Amazon select a prominent member from our fandom, The Innkeeper, to host the event. With years of passion for the series and a long history of contributions to the community, from Theoryland to The Dusty Wheel and everything in between, we couldn’t think of a better representative for the fans. The Innkeeper did us all proud.

The third season of The Wheel of Time, based on Robert Jordan’s fantasy book series, will premiere on Prime Video on March 13, 2025. All episodes of the first two seasons of The Wheel of Time are now available on Prime Video. The series is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
