This week’s episode, “The Road To The Spear,” promises to be the most exciting of the season so far (it feels like we keep saying that each week…). In “The Road to the Spear” Rand faces the forgotten history of his family as Moiraine learns the devastating truth of her future.
What were our tweeps and skeeps(?) looking forward to the most?
@perrinsnose.bsky.social
“The Road to the Spear” is already my favourite episode of s3 and it’s not even out yet

Okay, there’s a LOT I want to see tomorrow, and I’m hoping to need tissues. But what I might be hoping most to see is what new twists the show throws at me I’m not expecting

Done with work, RACING home to my tv and episode 4 of #TheWheelOfTime!🥳
We open on a scene of Lan and Rand training with swords in the heat of the Three-Fold Land (I am beat with a switch every time I say “Aiel Waste”). Rand shares his meditation techniques – the flame and the void – with Lan and they have a nice chat about adoptive families and finding your place in the world. Lan even makes time to call Rand lazy, while Moiraine watches pensively whilst wearing the most controversial hat on the internet.
@themann1086.bsky.social
Yes, more sword training!
@sulingoshien.bsky.social
Casual drop of the flame and the void and I’m already sobbing okay episode 4 you’re going to destroy me aren’t you?
@therascalking.bsky.social

But also, seeing Moiraine with this hat was the highlight so far 🤣

Noooooo 😱
She COULD have had something with a little more flare (and sun coverage)! But instead we got farmer Moiraine. 👩🌾

As night falls, Moiraine and Egwene are invited into the Wise Ones’ tent with Bair and Melaine. We learn a little bit about Gai’Shain (Aiel captured in battle) and about the weaving of the pattern that brought our crew across the Spine, but not before Melaine says a bit too much. It’s almost as if the wheel weaves as the wheel wills.

THE MELAINE APPRECIATION HOUR STARTS NOW

I can’t remember the name of the other Wise One who’s been cut from the show, but I do know that Amys her very much

Outside the tent, Aviendha confronts Rand who is practicing with a sword telling him it is forbidden. But Rand calls her out; Aiel can’t touch swords but is he Aiel or isn’t he? She decides to push him around for a bit and seems on edge. And then she went after Lan.
[Western whistle… tumbleweeds roll through the camp]
“You, too, Aan’allein!” But Lan just grins and says, “Nah bruh… let’s spar.”
@gintrusivethots.bsky.social
The Aiel aesthetic is so cool. Why do they hate swords tho???
@themann1086.bsky.social
LAN VS AVIENDHA HOLY CRAP YES
@greenwoodelf.bsky.social
Actually watching the 4th episode, i really like the combat between Aviendha and Lan. Lan is so skilled and so is Aviendha.
@Moiraine_Sedai_
idc he took her weapon to me that means he won bye I don’t want to hear it. TAI’SHAR MALKIER
@voidishwings.bsky.social
Dad!Lan sparring playfully with a young Maiden one last time when she will [redacted] soon means everything to me. One more fight, with Aan’allein no less.
Both Rhuarc and Lan are looking at the respective kids of the other and they’re already adopting them. Such near-fathers, I swear….
But before the fight was over [Lan totes won] the Wise Ones step in to break things up like that one HS English teacher who just had that presence to end fights in the hallways. It turns out that Aviendha not only refused her calling to become a Wise One, but she decided to GTFO and bugger off over the Spine of the World to find the Car’a’Carn. Not cool Avi, not cool (but maybe cool… we’ll see if he survives). Bair ritually breaks Aviendha’s spears over her knee and shares that she also had trouble accepting her duty. She must remove her armor and fighting clothes, called “cadin’sor”, and the runs off to face her trial alone.
@yoyin_wunmi
Omd , why is Aviendha giving her spear to the wise one , she look so sad 😟😔
@Greenwood_elf
Bair is unfair to Aviendha, Aviendha sis so skilled, she’s a maiden of the spear. Whatever she got called to be a wise, I wish she could be who she wanna be.
@bigdamnherossir.bsky.social
Remember the scene in Mary Poppins where they break Mr. Banks’ umbrella and punch through his hat and shit?
That, but in the desert
@optsexo
when bair breaks aviendha’s spears, I broke, too..
@juliekjen
I lost it at the breaking of the spears 😭 That was (finally) my Aviendha
@justdaniel.bsky.social
This scene with Aviendha losing her spears is just as good in the show as it was in the book
@sarcasmwelcome.bsky.social
The switch from no-nonsense Wise One to empathetic and caring that Bair and Melaine pull off with Aviendha is incredible and is the moment I was totally sold on Bair and Melaine.
@autumnallune
Under appreciated moment – Melaine’s words of encouragement to Aviendha before she leaves for Rhuidean
After Lan and Aviendha’s little show, Rand was having a quiet moment with his thoughts by the fire when Moiraine waltzes over to pump him for information under the guise of wanting to help. He is suspicious – she has been pushing him to and fro trying to get him to fulfill his destiny – and he just wants to go with the vibes. She tells him that she won’t hinder him but he wants to hear it without the Aes Sedai twisting… which she can’t do.
@bigdamnherossir.bsky.social
“You’ve never tried to help me, Moiraine.”
Y’all she should’ve slapped the absolute dog shit out of that child
@tcc_officielle
Moiraine Sedai has such a strong sense of duty. It the only thing she wears better than all her blue attire.
@WlLDSUN
despite what everyone thinks moiraine does care about rand and it’s very apparent in this episode
@IyawoChelsea
I hate how Rand is cold towards Moraine, he still thinks she is using him when all she has done is make sacrifices for him, guide and protect him. They have a mother-son dynamic but there is no understanding between them.
The next morning, the group begins the trek to Chaendaer – a mountain next to the valley of Rhuidean. Rand sneaks in a bit of Q&A time with Rhuarc, the clan chief of the Taardad Aiel. Rhuarc shows off the sweet ink on his left arm and notes that the Car’a’Carn – the Aiel Chief of Chiefs – will be marked on both arms (Two marks to the person who finds the first show copy tats on Insta!)

The plot:— Jess @ The Amyrlin’s Study (@amyrlinstudy.bsky.social) March 22, 2025 at 10:45 PM
Someone had better fire those Taardad scouts for not spotting the Shaido Aiel (that clan that has a blood feud with the Taardad) as they approached the valley. Everyone is veils up and ready to dance until the Wise Ones step in and remind everyone of the Peace fo Rhuidean. A very VERY “extra” Shaido Wise One agrees that no blood will be spilled.
@androlsedai.bsky.social
Rhuarc. My dude. You got within a quarter mile of a shaido camp without knowing? You must be *so* embarrassed. #wheeloftime

Once in the tents, we find that Sevanna’s husband has died so she married his son, Muradin, and he’s now going “through the glass columns” to become the Shaido clan chief. Muradin’s hot-headed brother Couladin is itching for his own chance to go through the trial and is incensed by the presence of Wetlanders.
Rand asks for permission to begin the trial and Couladin loses it, requiring Bair to channel (!!) to put him in his place. The question has been asked and the Wise Ones say yes. Egwene wants to go but they say, “Nah, gurl… you’ve got bigger fish to fry.” Not to be outdone, Moiraine asks permission to enter the city and the Wise Ones accept. It’s on like Donkey Kong.
@leekingmemory.bsky.social
Oh no. Couladin is hot in this turning of the Wheel.
@TheseMonies
Why didn’t Rhuarc teach Rand the manly way to ask permission from the wise ones? Now Couladin is gonna tell everybody Rand is queer 🤭
@nari_the_khatib
ok I knew some of the wise ones could channel and I was thinking oh I wonder how/when they’re gonna show that, but when Bair channeled to check Couladin I was like “yo! She can channel!!?!?” That’s how effective that reveal was, I was still surprised
@justdaniel.bsky.social
Rand and Moiraine asking leave to go to Rhuidean is making my heart soar. I’ve dreamed of this for literal decades

Moiraine and Lan and their wordless conversations. I love them so much.
@Ioomiday
“YOUR PATHS DO NOT ALIGN”WOAHHHHHHHHH 🤭🤭🤭🤭
@joelywrites
Amys telling Egwene to leave bc her and Rand’s paths do not align 😭
@whiskeyandmagic
Bair took one look at Egwene and Rand and said, “oh no no no let’s fix this right now.”
Egwene: “I’m going with him.”
Bair: “you haven’t asked and I’d say no anyway. Your paths go different ways.”
Egwene: 🥺
We are treated to the TL;DR version of both flavors of the trial of Rhuidean. Bair tells Moiraine that once she steps into “the rings” that she will see a thousand thousand (that’s a million, kids!) possible futures and will know which ones are and are not meant for her. Melaine tells Rand that each step through the “glass columns” will take him a step backward through time, seeing through the eyes of his blood ancestors.
Finally, they head to the wall of spears left by those prospective clan chiefs who never returned. What could be so horrible within this trial? They are forbidden to enter Rhuidean with weapons so Rand makes sword aficionados everywhere cringe by poking his blade into the sand, while Moiraine…
@BloodknifeTual
I was holding an unhealthy amount of anticipation as mo +rand leave their weapons behind
@themann1086.bsky.social
I know the many knives is Mat’s thing in the book, but they have established Moiraine as carrying since the series premiere
@autumnallune
If a Forsaken could block me from the One Power for months on end with ease, I would start carrying that many knives for self defence too
@molasseslord
Lemme tell you when I realized that all those spears were those who didn’t make it back, I shed a very manly tear
@molasseslord
They’re entering rhuidean now and I’m soooo excited AHHHH
After 20 minutes that went by in a flash, we finally get our abbreviated intro, but something is different…
@vashys1
How about the fact that the Ouroboros title card after the cold open moves backwards so does the music that plays over it? *chefs kiss*
And so it begins… Rand and Moiraine make their way into the “City in the Clouds,” moving past opposing gargantuan statues that did NOT open their eyes to shoot lasers at them (IYKYK). Within the city, both sense that there is something… odd… about this place.
In the center of the city they find a massive tree, Avendasora – the Tree of Life. Pieces start to click together for Moiraine as she reveals to Rand that her uncle, King Laman of Cairhien, chopped down a sapling of Avendasora that had been gifted to Cairhien by the Aiel long ago. The Aiel were so incensed by the affront that the waged total war on the West, ending with Laman’s execution on the slopes of Dragonmount. At that moment, Rand realizes he can’t so easily escape his fate.
@celticmyst08
They did it. They actually did it.
No words, just feels.

Moiraine and Rand in Rhuidean reminds me of them journeying together through the Blight in season 1. I love the deepening of their relationship.
Rand heads toward the eerie glass columns, stepping in and immediately hitting mystical resistance. He can see Muradin in the distance, but Muradin doesn’t seem to be aware of him…
@maiden_of_spear
Glass columns EEEEHH EEEEHHHH
@justdaniel.bsky.social
This is almost exactly how I imagined the glass columns
Rand’s vision flickers…
He is on the slopes of Dragonmount, fighting anyone who opposes him. It is ~20 years in the past. His name is Janduin and he has just killed the Oathbreaker, Laman, himself. After he finishes off a group of Illianer soldiers he is flagged down by another Aiel. They found her, but there is no sign of the baby…

The sadness/rage his father Janduin felt and then what rand felt after, poor Rand having to feel all that pain and also his own grief.
@MaguNinja
Now his father thinks he has lost everything 🥲
I know that it needed to happen. Tam needed to raise Rand so he can become the man he becomes, the dragon… But I wonder, what kind of dragon Rand could have become if he was raised by Janduin in Aiel culture.

@rogueAelfinn
Blood and bloody ashes. Rand is only one step in the columns and I’m already crying 😭
Rand’s vision flickers…
He is on the slopes of Chaendaer, above a fog-less Rhuidean. It is ~2,000 years ago. His name is Mandein and he is a clan chief standing alongside his wife, a Wise One named Sealdre. Suddenly fog fountains out of the center of the city, enveloping it. Latra Sedai has summoned all clan chiefs to Rhuidean and they must agree to whatever she asks.
@autumnallune
Under appreciated moment 2 – Mandein’s loving gentleness with his wife before he enters Rhuidean
@sholanalliance
I love Sealdre.
@Dera_Writes
I’m sorry but Mandein definitely had a trolloc in his bloodline
@lxreads.fun
Does Mandein (Randcestor #2) have a power-wrought spear? 👀
In the city, an ancient Aes Sedai, Latra Posae Decume (the same Aes Sedai from the S1E8 cold open) tells the chiefs they must remember where they come from and she grows the glass columns using a strange white orb, speaking the prophecy of the Car’a’Carn for the first time.
Those who cannot learn will not live. Who will be first to enter?

LATRA? AS IN THE LATRA FROM LTT’S TIME?
@sulingoshien.bsky.social
Latra Sedai oh my god.

SHES GROWING THE COLUMNS.
@bydlophob
The way #TheWheelOfTime sets Latra as the Aes Sedai who created the glass columns and established the prophecy makes it feel like her final farewell to her friend across time.
Mandein’s vision flickers…
Rand leans against a ferocious wind that doesn’t exist, not even noticing the corpses of chiefs who could not make it through. He is forced to his knees by the pressure, leaning against a glass column. Ahead, Muradin pushes against the same storm.
@LeithSkilling
Does Mandein come back from thr columns or not?
Rand’s vision flickers…
He is somewhere in steppes across the Spine of the World with a caravan of wagons. It’s ~2,370 years in the past. His name is Lewin and he feels peaceful under a young sapling of Avendasora with a white orb nestled in its branches.
@MoonstarGarth

Chased out of the wagons by Old Man Adan, he learns that his sister and their friends have been taken by bandits. They follow the Way of the Leaf so there is nothing to be done… or is there?
@milansedai
This part started the funniest and then broke my heart and actually made me tear up at the end
The trio waits until nightfall to sneak in to the bandit camp, no violence, to rescue the girls. The watch has found them and it all goes wrong. One friend has been fatally stabbed. The other almost picks up a sword, which is forbidden by the Way of the Leaf as it is only a weapon. A spear instead… that has other uses.
@_Osasu__
Wait, that’s why the Aiels use spears and not swords??
@LeithSkilling
Charlin was kinda… 🫦
And he didn’t deserve to die!
With the girls rescued Lewin returns to the camp at daybreak, but his pride turns to grief as he and his surviving friend are exiled from the group as Oathbreakers because they committed violence. What now? They will protect the rest of the tribe and veil their faces.
@themann1086.bsky.social
“Hide your face.”
(Sorry I’m mostly just crying over that whole scene)

@HotHoneyHalo
Wayment . . . So the Aeil people are just descendants of The Leaf people . . . And they’re considered the “Oathbreakers” bc Rand great great great great granddaddy killed his sisters rapist?
Lewin’s vision flickers…
Rand continues forward, putting one foot in front of the other. He has caught up with Muradin who is screaming and clawing at his eyes. He screams, too.
@autumnallune
Muradin going mad in the glass columns because the Shaido likely killed the Tuatha’an before they reached Rhuidean… peak cinema 🤌

Elsewhere in the city, Moiraine’s vision distorts as she follows invisible threads of the One Power to Avendasora. She channels to part the viny branches to reveal a white orb, which she tucks into a pocket (skirt with pockets alert!).
@chosetoswim
Not Moiraine stealing the sa’andreal as if it was just another tuesday…… yes go queen!
@CreativeNotEvil
So, how did Moiraine know the crystal globe was there, and what weaves to use to access it??
@sulingoshien.bsky.social
Moiraine the casual looter of historic ‘monuments’ is so in character. This woman will rob the Louvre itself if it means Rand will win.
Moiraine finds three massive rings and approaches. Aviendha is suspended within one of the rings, screaming and moving through the air in slow motion as if it was water. She steps inside and floats up uncontrollably.
Moiraine’s vision turns, again and again…
She’s a fishwife. She’s an Amyrlin and kills Rand. She’s releasing a warder bond. She’s creating a warder bond. Lan is burning alive. She’s holding a dead Rand in the desert. She is killing Rand in the desert. She is swearing fealty to Rand in the two rivers.
@syrinelle
Moiraine and Aviendha have much stronger stomachs than I do 😵💫

in that one vision where Mo was Amyrlin in the Tower, I don’t think that Keeper was Siuan. It didn’t sound like her at all.

It was Egwene! Which is also why Rand begged for her help.
@lionesswisd0m
Egwene as the keeper, Moiraine as Amyrlin, Moiraine releasing her and Lan’s bond. I can’t keep up 😭

In the columns, Muradin is bleeding from his eyes as he tears his own flesh. What does he see? Rand presses onward, ever onward.
@Moiraine_Sedai_
WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK
His vision flickers…
He is somewhere in the Westlands standing in the wreckage of a caravan. It is ~2,620 years in the past. His name is Jonai and he is desperately trying to hold his caravan together after an attack that killed his Dreamwalker daughter. His grandson, Adan, yet lives.
@MoonstarGarth
Wait a damn minute
the Aiel are fully descended and related to the Tuatha’an ?????
@rogueAelfinn
The history of the Aiel & the Tu’atha’an is just so tragic and heartbreaking. “We bury our dead and we go on. What else is there?
Light! My goosebumps have not subsided for the last 15 min.
Sulwin tells him that the Aes Sedai have killed the last male channeler. The earth can now settle after generations of breaking wrought by men who have gone mad from wielding the tainted half of the One Power.
@Listenerbell_
The touch of showing us Jonai’s daughter’s grave with the burial cairns after last episode had Rhuarc burying someone with stones.
@LeithSkilling
Sulwin asks Jonai if he remembers the Song and he speaks Old Tongue, so how old is he supposed to be in that flashback? Was he born before the Breaking in the Age of Legends? Also, you only notice it on a rewatch, but the Song plays in that scene
Everyone leaves the wreckage except Jonai and Adan; they remember their oaths to find the place of safety. He picks up the yoke of the caravan holding a small sapling of Avendasora with a white orb tucked within its branches and pulls, step by painful step, toward the Spine.

Oh wow I’m finding Galactic Empire Rand *way* more attractive than I expected
Also, since I love a good Memento-like story, this is gonna be the Randall who fucks it all up, huh
Latra Sedai opens a small chamber to reveal a small white orb. It is the most powerful sa’angreal in the world, tuned for women – the Sakarnen. It’s male counterpart, Callandor, is hidden in an impregnable fortress, but the Sakarnen will be entrusted to the Aiel, and to peace.
Rhodric and the other Aiel swear to keep the Way of the Leaf and they must always keep moving, until they find a place of safety for their precious cargo. He slides a tiny Chora cutting, with the Sakarnen nestled in its branches into his wagon, and flees the city with his partner.

when latra says this, i’m 99% sure she’s saying “ji’e’toh”!!! so that’s where they get the importance of honor and obligation, from this oath they swore to the aes sedai. pic.twitter.com/EPcG7Uzhjd

@hakujinshonen
rhodric was giving very much dune lisan al ghaib excellence
lowkey the best episode of the show so far
@Matrim_Cauthun
OMG GAY AIEL????
@HanaXans
Rhodric is so beautiful, he’s like a painting. All will be well, my love.
Rhodric’s vision flickers…
Rand pushes forward, grunting with exertion as he is forced downward. Crawling on hands and knees and fighting for every inch. He hears Melaine’s words that to lead is to know where you came from and it gives him the strength for one last push. Behind him, Muradin has torn his eyeballs from his head and collapses, never to leave the City in the Clouds.
@joelywrites
oop there goes Muradin, RIP
@Moiraine_Sedai_
GIVE ME THE COLLAM DAAN AND THE SHAROM
Rand’s vision flickers…
He is looking out a window in the Sharom, a research facility floating above the university of Collam Daan, at his friends and family singing as they harvest wheat. It is ~3,000 years in the past. His name is Charn and he serves Mierin Sedai, one of the Sharom’s scientific researchers. Mierin Sedai tells him to go visit his family but he knows that tomorrow is an important day, but not WHY it is an important day.
@jellykelly.bsky.social
Did I spot a rat tail?! Rand blended with Anakin Skywalker
@sulingoshien.bsky.social
The song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song the song
@gayestgaymer1
I literally just realised that, in the context of her life as Mierin, Lanfear started as an OpenAI employee. Wtf.
What is this experiment that she and her team have been working on? She humors Charn with an explanation that a simple Aiel would understand. They have detected a new source of power, the True Power, that anyone can use, not just those who are born with the ability. To access this power and improve the lives of all of humanity, they just need to make a hole in the thinnest part of the pattern…
@GDRMatos
Hear me out: so Mierin Sedai (Lanfear) just wanted to democratize the access to a source of power that could be used by anyone. She is not the villain, she is a Social Justice Warrior.
@LeithSkilling
I’m so glad we got Mierin being a quantum physicist so her whole thing isnt just being Lews Therin’s jealous ex
@kaffeearchives
no thoughts, head empty save for thE SONG™️ playing on loop for the rest of my life #TheWheelOfTime
@justdaniel.bsky.social
I just saw the Collam Daan fall and am shook. I’ve read this section of the book hundreds of times
@mellowhale
I NEED MORE OF THE SONG IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL ESPECIALLY WHEN THE HARMONIES KICKED IN WE DIDN’T GET ENOUGH OF IT 😭
@crushkosiminnie
WDYM LANFEAR WAS AN AES SEDAI?? AND HER NAME WAS MIERIN?? AND SHE RELEASED THE DARK ONE?? WHAT THE FUCK??
@lanfeardelrey
so what that Lanfear was the one to summon the dark one into this world? god forbid women have hobbies
@maiden_of_spear
Guys, Lanfear was just feeling a bit goofy when she accidentally unleashed the dark one upon the land… women make mistakes 😔💔
@lionesswisd0m
Guys she’s a cutie, she did nothing wrong
@downtowndemgirl
support women in STEM. just don’t scorn them.
Charn takes advantage of Mierin Sedai’s generosity to travel to the surface and participate in the harvest. They sing a joyful song as they work, but it is interrupted by an explosion. Overhead the Sharom begins to turn inside out and falls from the sky. The sky itself begin to rip through into what? Nothingness? No, not nothing… something… and that something “speaks” to him.
@AlexRHernandez4
Still affirm that 🌙 did nothing wrong.
Sometimes science has unintended consequences

REALITY ITSELF WAS BORED INTO AND SHATTERED (that looked amazing)
@rhealneptune
Ok so they went the Eldritch Horror route with the DO and I both loved it and was kinda unnerved by it. 10/10
@Matrim_Cauthun
Was it just me or did we actually see the Dark One’s eyes inside the crack above Collam Daan?
@GradeKangusBeef
I think this is my favorite shot of this entire show and I’m not even exaggerating. My jaw was on the floor in pure awe and terror.
13/13 would bore again

Jonai’s vision flickers…
Lewin’s vision flickers…
Mandein’s vision flickers…
Janduin’s vision flickers…
Rand’s vision flickers…
He has reached the far side of the columns and the resistance dissipates. How long was he inside? Five minutes? Five hours? Five days? He collapses after holding himself up against the force. As he lay unconscious, glittering gold and red dragons wind their way around both his forearms.
@Willikins
I just noticed, there are skeletons right next to where Rand fell at the end of the columns…
Imagine being one of those would-be clan chiefs who made it all the way out and STILL couldn’t cope! Just laid there and died, knowing the whole truth
@lionesswisd0m
THE TATTOOOS!!
@joelywrites
OHHH THE DRAGON TATTOOS!!!!! ON BOTH ARMS OFC!!!!!
@molasseslord
They were carved into his skin 🙁
@thedustywheel
Twice and twice shall he be marked,
twice to live, and twice to die.
Once the heron, to set his path.
Twice the heron, to name him true.
Once the Dragon, for remembrance lost.
Twice the Dragon, for the price he must pay.
When he awakens he finds Aviendha unconscious near Avendasora. She is startled by his new markings and he tries to comfort her, though still trying to process his ordeal. She beckons him to head back to the tents, but he won’t… not without her. He lies down beneath the boughs of the Tree of Life to wait.
@BloodknifeTual
This Avi-Rand moment is tender
@autumnallune
I wonder if we will get a glimpse at what she saw in future episodes
@Rusticatrix
And his relief that she wasn’t going to treat him differently when she called him wetlander 😭
@mellowhale
love that Avi took one last chance to call Rand “wetlander” before everyone else knows he’s the Car’a’carn 😂
@MoonstarGarth
Aviendha abandoning Morraine’s ass immediately after she got out of the rings
@anoushkamiller
The revelation that Rand and Moiraine have always been interlinked is so important to me, him refusing to leave without her too like that’s FAMILY right there
@geryrrs
He lying down in the Avendesora because it bring him peace 😭
In the rings, Moiraine screams. Her vision turns, again and again…
She’s running from the shadowsworn Two Rivers and Lanfear kills her. She’s making love with Rand. She’s making love with Lanfear.
@molasseslord
Okay but the Rand/Mo sex immediately followed by Lanfear/Mo sex gave me the worst whiplash of my life, I have psychological damage that I need reparations for
@syrinelle
I’m not even mad that they kept that, exactly… I just… don’t ever need to see it again. Ever ever ever thx 🤣
@akiearc
When I saw Mo and Rand, I screamed, dry heaved, and hid behind my blanket. I made the grave error of peeking to see if it was over and caught an eye full of Rand!Butt…….I’m so deeply scarred that the Fearaine scene couldn’t bring me joy.
A thought for poor Liandrin after the latest episode of #TheWheelOfTime #WoTShowSpoilers pic.twitter.com/4uOleJMex4
— OurNunsAndScientistWereActuallyNotSaved (@NunsAndTheirDr) March 21, 2025
She’s refusing to bow to the Dragon and Lanfear kills her. She’s running through Tar Valon and Lanfear kills her. She is wrestling in the desert and Lanfear kills her. And Lanfear kills her. And Lanfear kills her. And Lanfear kills her…
@bigdamnherossir.bsky.social
I have just been compelled to pause some Lanfear-on-Moiraine violence for the second time to catch my breath. Gonna need a cigarette after this
@optsexo
from moiraine’s thousand futures, I think lanfear wants to kill her 🤔🤔🤔
@k99_xx
Lanfear my girl u should’ve been nicer to Moiraine in the rings because guess where is the Scarnen? It’s with Moiraine 💀
@Baroness_Lizi
Moiraine a have it rough in there breh
Lan and Egwene look at the moon as they await Rand and Moiraine’s return. They have been in the City in the Clouds for seven days. Aviendha has returned two days earlier and Lan could feel Moiraine’s terror through the bond.
@dear-rickey.bsky.social
When you’re watching Wheel of Time and scream “That’s Earth’s Moon!”
@senseofsongs
Wow. Daniel Henney.
The depth of Lan’s feeling killed me in this moment.
@joelywrites
THEY’VE BEEN THERE FOR A WEEK????? oh my god
As dawn breaks, a smudge appears on the outskirts of Rhuidean. A chapped and exhausted Rand carries a chapped and exhausted Moiraine in his arms. There are no words as they reach Chaendaer, only a look to acknowledge what they had withstood.
@FieryTroyNG
It means so much to me that Rand waited two days for Moiraine, without food and water, and then carried her out when she finally came out of the rings
@mellowhale
I’m so glad that last scene had no dialogue. It added to the gravity and poignancy of the scene and all they had been thru. Next week cannot come fast enough!!
@lionesswisd0m
Rand carrying Moiraine. Lan holding her 😭
@geryrrs
The ending 😭😭😭 the way they look at each others. Rand’s tears.
@randmuadib
You make me cry 😭 Rand only wants to rest.
@Wally_Wests
I felt myself kneel, in my soul.
I would follow you, Lord Dragon
to the very end.
@Moiraine_Sedai_
He Who Comes With The Dawn.
@maiden_of_spear
He Who Comes With The Dawn… The Car’a’caran. The Dragon Reborn
And with that, we cut to black and dig ourselves out from the mountain of tissues that have accumulated around us throughout the episode. Did our viewers make it through their trial? Will they ever be the same again?
@McJudicator
They dropped over 3000 years of lore in this episode, and I’m supposed to function after?
@Just1_Alien
I just finished #TheWheelOfTime s3 e4 and it was like watching Duna, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and Halo all together.
@themann1086.bsky.social
I don’t think they can ever top this episode
@dveyfckingjacbs
Well that was fucking insane
@k99_xx
10/10 this is how u write an epic high fantasy.
@positivitize.bsky.social
I have never seen TV like that before. Flawless. Pages come to life.
t is Art.
@devanescence78.bsky.social
The Road to the Spear may have actually been a perfect episode. I have no notes.
@Dark_1s_Taint
I am so high on episode 4 of #TheWheelOfTime. Yeah literally nothing can ruin this for me.
@1llicitBuck
If you asked me to describe 3×04 I wouldn’t be able too. Why? Because it was that damn good.
All the faces of Rand as his ancestors in The Road to the Spear! #TheWheelOfTime

I first found WoT as a high school freshman in 1994. From a green ajah Aes Sedai halloween costume in 1997, to creating an access database of every WoT character in 1999, to the absolute pleasure of meeting Robert Jordan himself twice, my obsession with this series launched a lifelong love of high fantasy.
