We open in the 13th depository 10 years ago. The twisted redstone doorway seen in passing during the first moments of S3E1 vibrates with energy as Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan steps out, quite pleased with herself. Alviarin, the White sister seen in several episodes is present for her return and finds out that Elaida was told that she will be the Amyrlin Seat, but… the Aelfinn are NOT to be trusted.

Alviarin sees through them and know they are courting her support.

As Thom and Elayne hide from Jeaine’s balefire rod, he tells her that she needs to run as fast as she can and get back to Andor so that she can rescue both her mother and the Throne. She grudgingly takes her leave as Thom does what he does best, acting as bait for monsters.

He hurls a knife at Jeaine, which she blocks with ease before shooting off another wild white-hot bar of purpley balefire, tearing a rift across the ceiling. Elayne, never one for following directions closely, attacks from behind, knocking Jeaine forward. She grabs the rod and proceeds to burn the Aes Sedai and the last 10 seconds of her existence from the Pattern.

Near Moiraine, not-dead Lan says “Surprise!” and draws his sword on Lanfear. Moiraine, sensing his presence, wakes up and grabs the Sakarnen from the sand. She knocks Lanfear back and just starts blasting with massive fireballs (Bode and Eldrin would be in love).

Yo, puny human! That orb you’re yapping about is Sakarnen, a badass sa’angreal from The Wheel of Time TV series. It’s like a magical steroid for Moiraine, juicing her One Power to godlike levels to duke it out with Lanfear.
Unlike the books, where it’s a dude’s gold scepter, the show made it a lady orb, introduced in season 3, episode 4. Fans are losing their minds over this switch, but it makes for some epic, anime-worthy fights.
It’s tied to the Aiel’s history and could save or wreck the world. So, buckle up, it’s a wild ride!

Siuan asks if the other Sitters will truly support Elaida who just wants the title and the power, or stand up for a cause.

Lan attacks from the side, forcing Lanfear to fight on two fronts as Moiraine lobs shards of something at the Forsaken. In the chaos he is able to nick her leg, which she’s unable to heal, even with the True Power.

Rand completes the very foreboding prophecy of the Aiel; the truth that only a portion of them will survive the upheaval he brings. He is their Car’a’carn but he will need to SHOW them, so he turns and seizes saidin with massive weaves of water and air with a bit of fire swirling around him.

Lan attacks Lanfear’s shield head on and she knocks him back out of commission.
